My HPT isnt cooperating and I have sent 7 emails now over the last week without a single response from them.

HPT sucks ***** since their 3.0 release. Buy EFI Live.

Anyway... I cant seem to get my scanner to cooperate with me. It wont log anything. Some things show up as broken links, and I can't add anything to record either. Under timing advance there should be a handful of options... but there isnt.





What the **** is going on?

 

Delete the vehicle profile and make it rescan for parameters...or there may be a button for that in the scanner now.

 

There was a thread started by bill last week saying there would be email delays, most would be answered by thursday or friday.

I've had zero problems with the latest 3.6 build.

 

I was going to suggest an uninstall/reinstall but that may be overkill.

However,

I did notice that my AV on my laptop picked up the vcmscanner.exe as a virus/trojan/malware.

I had to exclude the directory from being scanned.

 

You'll need to re-poll for parameters. Also if you use an old config file, lots of stuff won't work. Going to have to start fresh with new configurations for the new software. It takes a bit to get things set up for 3.0+, but it seems pretty solid now. No more scanner crashing issues like I used to have.

 

He should have a valid config. I sent him mine from 3.6x and it works fine for me.

 

Thats the problem... I am trying to build new configs and I can't. Check out my options under timing advance. There are about 10 other things I would like to log in that section that I cant see at the moment.

I had the same issue. Just delete the vehicle profile and whatever graph you have saved as the default

 

Do this, it will fix it. 3.6 has been pretty good, I haven't had any major issues with it doing live tuning. If I'm watching someone else's logs the channels act stupid sometimes but that's it.
