Default I Think I Broke My Shifter Cable

I am putting my Performabuilt Heavy Hauler and I am sure I've broken the part of the shifter cable that is supposed to hold it in the bracket on the side of the tranny. Is there a solution to this besides replacing the whole cable? How bad is replacing the whole cable?

Its not supper easy but not terrible either.

It connects to the column runs under the carpet before the seats and exits under the car.

I have only ever taken them off after the fact so I am not sure if you need to remove the seat or not.

I'm going to try to hose clamp it onto the braket or something tonight. What a stupid little piece to set me back so bad.
