Cant wait for the trans parts any more. Ill be dropping the motor in the truck today. Goal is to get it all hooked up, fluids, turbo stuff...everything.

Has anyone fired their engines without the trans hooked up? Can I do this to make sure its not knocking or pissing fluids out anywhere?

I like those AFR heads

Yea you can start it without the trans, but you may need the NSS hooked up. It will probably idle high but be ok to check.

Looks sweet! Are you staying MAF? I noticed you were doing some turbo research, if you decide to swap turbos at some point which Borg do you have your eye on?

Yes, until my tuner says I have to switch to SD.

Not sure Id go with a borg or not. These "cost efficient" turbos work great and are 300-400 bucks. Well see what happens. Im not 100% sold on spending 1000+ on a turbo for 200 rpm sooner spool for a mid range goal of 600 wheel. If I was building a race truck or on full tilt, Id def go with a billet Dual BB turbo, but for my daily.... ehhh.

Motor is back in, starting to put all the accessories and wiring and hoses together. Trans parts should be here Wed. Man I cannot wait for this to fire.
