Ok, Randy (lilredevil) did some talking to Geoff at Thunder. Heres the deal, we need for sure 6 trucks.....safety equipment.....and they need to seriously run fast. Not 11's or 12's. more like 8's, 9's, or 10's. There will be an additional fee to enter the King of the Cane Field but that is expected. You may be asked to pay for this rather soon so they know that we are serious and can set this section of the event up.

If anyone has any question please post in here or PM lilredevil cause he has the main contact at thunder and can pass along the questions and info faster and easier.

 

Better lower that number to 2 or get them to include some Lightnings.

Now way we are going to have 6 truck 10sec or faster. We will just have to do our own little grudge races during T&T.
Has anyone heard any details about the shootout at all for this year? The site hasnt been updated since last year and nothing has been posted in the shootout fourm on tech either. According to NPR's site there is a Q-16 race on sat just like last year.

 

Correct Kid. I have the 2005 NPR Drag Racing schedule here and it says:

Nov. 4 Friday Ferrari Club Track Day
4 Friday Friday Night $$ and Trophy Bracket Race
5 Sat. Coors Light Q-16 $$ Bracket Race (Street is allowed)
6 Sun Thunder Racing Southern Shootout

Looks like it will be a one day event so most likely will be a little hecktick.

 

I think that we could have enough to run(as far as the times go), but the safety equipment required has got me thinking.

I'm probably missing someone, but that's all I can remember right off the top of my head, and I'm sure there's a few lurkers hanging around that are playing . I'm almost certain there are a few sandbaggers around here that are talking down there setups(Ranwalk ).

This goes for any of the biggest and baddest on the board. We want to see this happen, so if you got the setup, and want the throne......you're going to have to earn it at this event. Will the king defend his crown?!?! Only time will tell. Damn....this has great movie potential.

 

I don't even want to say how bad that sucks!!!!!! We might get in two passes if everything is scheduled for Sun only(and most likely hot lapping at that). I hope attendance prices are down from last year if its only 1 day!!!!

I hope we can get this all worked out cause i would like to see it. if not, then so be it. rest assured, we will have some trucks suprising the heck out of the folks in attendance.

on to the one day event. i'll be honost. it sucks. nothing will compare to my first TS which was the second overall event.

 

Most of us don't have the proper saftey equipment to run I will just say that right now. A few of us have teh power but no point in coming all the way out htere to get kicked off after one pass.

Good news is I got my fully built th400 and convertor which means all I"m missing now is a decent rearend.
