Talking Yet another plasti-dip thread!

Who doesnt love this stuff???

So awhile back I did my grill and mirror caps (some might remember), so far they are holding up great with just three coats on them. Its getting about that time of year in these parts for snow and road salt. So I decided to clean up and plasti-dip the cheap, nasty, chrome American Racing wheels that came on my truck when I bought it. I started on one yesterday (in the pics) and let it dry over night before doing the other three today. Im pretty impressed!

Tell me what you think!

You can see the pitting in the chrome and some stains that wont come off from the crap they put on the roads.

After letting it dry over night with one light base coat and two heavy coats after.

A buddy and I are going to the local 1/8mi this weekend and I want to see if these smaller wheels and tires will get me faster than a 10.17 Ill get more pics when I get them on.

Looks great!

I plastidipped the chrome middle of the bumper on my truck just last night in the dark... turned out good for how much I messed up and couldnt see

I will definitely be re-doing it as well as some other god awful chrome on my truck, plastidip is just too cool

If you spray enough coats of it anything will look good! I love how it evens out on its own and pretty much doesnt run. I may do my front/rear chrome bumpers as well just to protect them over the winter time

I plasti'ed my stock 17s but left the center cap chrome, looks like the police tahoe wheels now.

Its so fun to use, it makes you wanted to spray everything, lol.

Im tempted to plastidip my grill/bumpers to black out my truck. Hell i've even thought about plastidipping the entire truck white since my paint is fucked already.
