Default widest tire on 2wd

im actually not a new memeber just been away too long to remembermy password. my question is i have an 07 sierra 2wd extra cab that only has a 2" drop in the rear suspension wise. i would really llike to stick with my 17" wheels but i need atleast an 11.5" tire in the back. traction is a major problem and i like the look of wide tires on the back and maybe like some 9.50 on front with a rough cam idle. it just sounds mean to me. i cant for the life of me figure out the metric sonversion for such a tire. also could the stock wheel handle up to a 12.50 wide tire? thanks so much in advance for the help.

The problem is there isn't that big of a wide performance tire for a 17" rim. Off the top of my head, the widest I can think of is 285/60/17.

What tire height do you wanna keep? You might need to go to 18's to get any wider. I'm running a 295/45ZR18 It's about 12" wide and 28.5" tall
