I have 17s widened to 10" and they contact the leaf springs. This is helped by the fact that I have an obs 14 which is slightly narrower (1/2" maybe) than the 10b. But if the wheels hit, you know the tires will hit. You guys with factory axles, im guessing it will sit flush with my 0.01" clearance, from the wheel, not the tire. So you can either run a spacer, or dont get them so wide.
I am currently using a 2.5" spacer but its more than I need so I have a 1.5" spacer on the way, and should still have about an inch of clearance from the tire to the leaf. 325/45/17 tires btw.
Heres a pic of mine with no spacer

you think a 390/40/17 would fit the 17x10?

ak2007r6, where in Canada are you? I'm on the mobile version and can't see any locations. If your around Alberta, Alberta Wheel Repair in Calgary did a killer job on fixing a curbed rim that I bought. I think they widen wheels too.
