Some damn kids were throwing old nail polish bottles in the street while I was coming around a corner, why I have no idea? I didn't see them or what it was at first, I just saw something out of the corner of my eye. So I stopped about a house or 2 down & got out to look. The bottle of gold busted on the plastic lower valence & was all over the part of my bumper underneath the driver foglight, some on the rim & tire, & a drop on the door. Needless to say I was pissed, so I immediatly went & knocked all 4 of the doors of the 2 duplexes. 2 answered, an elderly couple & a house full of kids with a couple of adults. To make a longer story shorter I got one of the kids to admit to it & made him & his buddy clean it pretty good & then I got the rest. I wanted to smack somebody, but what can I do to a 14 year old kid........find his dad! Anyways, I got it all off that I saw, I used non-acetone nail polish remover to get it off & Meguiar's Scratch X2.0 Fine Scratch & Blemish Remover to go over it & hand buff it out. Will it hurt my paint, the gold paint was on less than 30 mins. Thanks for any advice.

It shouldn't hurt anything if you got all of it off. The problem is just flat out **** poor parenting. The problem is nobody knows how to whip a kids *** anymore. It's all about time out these days. If I had done that to someones vehicle as a kid I wouldn't have been able to sit for a week.

my parents wouldnt hesitate to knock the **** out of me and i did way worse than throwing nail polish. kids will be kids. and nobody can explain why they do 80% of the crap they do haha.

Yeah that's why I can't get to pissed, because I was a bad *** kid when I was young to, probly just payback. In 6th grade I broke my art teachers back window, got my butt tore up, grounded, had to go to court & get put on probation, then mow yards all summer to pay for it. So yes, kids will be kids. But they deffinately need to restore the *** whippins in parenting now days instead of time out.

 

just be sure to wax over the area once you get it cleaned off. Any type of remover and aggressive scrubbing will take off the wax.

football can do more damage than nail polish. nail polish should actually come off pretty easily.
