Default white mirrors

i have the stock black mirrors and wanted to paint them white, has anybody ever painted them completly white or have most painted just the cap area? WOuld it be cheaper/easier to just replace them with an aftermarket type?

I just painted the top portion of my mirrors on my 07 truck and they turned out good. Believe it or not I painted them with spray paint. I sanded all the texture off of them with 320 grit. Then shot 'em with Krylon fusion. It's made for plastic with no prep. Also painted my ventvisors also. Done for less than $15.00 counting my free labor.

do u have pictures? and did u leave the mirrors on or take them off(if so how do u take them off)

Just copy and paste the link Eventually I'd like to get new chrome caps for mine and paint the housings to match the truck
