Where to put my shiftlight?

whats the purpose of a shift light...doesnt your transmission to a good enough job...


lol just messin with ya...I kinda like the idea of the vents...never heard/seen it...certianly wouldnt look outta place tucked in there...dont know how it would be during the day but I guess having dark tinted windows would help a little...

If the shift light has no other purpose than to look cool, etc. Mount it wherever it looks cool.

If the shift light is going to be used for practical purposes, mount it where you can see it clearly. Make sure nothing obscures the view, your hand on the steering wheel, direct sunlight, etc.

I have my fan switch up there (did an idiot move and didn't check to see if the harness i brought back with my 4.8 was a clutch fan or electric) but i did think about it.

I dont have the auto shift function on my 5 speed

I am using it for general use (5k is what it will be set at now, anything higher seems to blow up my slave cylinder) Also kinda as a safety, a "HEY IDIOT PAY ATTENTION" But i can agree in some situations they are just for looks.

It is a proform, its 1.5" tall, by 5" long, with mount it is 2.75".

Question tho. Even with a 5 spd. can't you program the PCM rev limiter?

EFI Live is getting ordered the end of this week. But yes it can.
