Default wheel backspacing

I have a 200 silverado with a 3/5 drop. I'm looking into getting a set of 20x8.5" wheels for my truck. They offer two different offsets for my truck. One is a +12mm offset and the other is a +40mm offset. Which offset would be better to run on the truck? The +12mm offset is around 5.16" of backspacing, is that enough for them to fit and tuck if i ever bagged the truck?

My 20x9s have a 5.5 backset and are about flush with the outside of the wheel well so I dont think they will tuck im sure sure others will chime in with bagged trucks that can help ya.
