Default What type of tape to use for badges?

What should I use for sticking a used badge on that doesn't have the factory tape anymore?

I'm worried about it taking the paint off with it if I ever decide to pull the badge off. You think I'll be ok?

I used the white double sided foam tape before. As long as the surfaces are clean, it will last a long time. It will dry rot after a few years though.

If they did a shitty job putting the paint on, it might, but you should be fine. That's what most cheap body kits and aftermarket badges that I've see are put on with

I'm not doing a new Chevrolet badge...I'm getting a 6.7L badge off of a buddy's GTO. It was pieced together out of a 6.0 and a 5.7 badge, so I can't exactly buy a new one unfortunately.

Hey don't doubt the power of the gray 3M tape....it pulled the drywall off when I removed the alarm clock that I had stuck to the wall in my old dorm room

Ya, but that's just paper, not paint A little adhesive remover on top of it left to soak a few minutes and I but it would peel right off. Dought its any stronger then the factory stuff
