I like the HD conversion on your 2 rides, I guess that's always an option if I do go with the 1500, I just like the way the HD Grill & Bowtie seperates & the color scheme you can do with it. I just here its really expensive & a PITA.

If you don't mind me asking mgonzo82, what's a round about price when you had yours done for the Chevy, Parts, Labor, & Color Matching. Is it about a $500 project or more like a $5,000 project. Good lookin rides by the way.

I have heard over the years that the Stock 20" SS rims a very good performance rims to go with but the other day I read somebodys thread on here that they took them off after the first ride around the block & sold them because they didn't like them.

What's your guys take on the 20" SS Rims & don't they make those in 22" as well?
IIRC, he pulled & sold those stock 20" SSS off cause they affected his performance or handling. I forgot which he was into, handling or straight line performance. Either way, they're heavy. But they do look sweet. If u wanna see what they & others weigh, go thru the stickies in show & shine or suspension. They have a tire/wheel weight thread. Seems to me, they're ~74# for rim & tire. That's a lot of mass at end corner.

The stock 20" SSS are aluminum BTW, just not particularly light. Don't be discouraged if ya like em, they're are lighter options however.
FWIW, GM never offered a factory 22" SSS. Those would be heavier yet.
If goin SS rims, they'd be powdercoated black. Gloss or satin?

Ya I didn't even read past the first post the other day, I just read what he originally said because I was to damn worried about registering because it was the first time I had access to a PC in a while, but I'm gonna look for it in the search tonight so I can find out what he said.

And I did see that sticky at the top for Wheel Weights & when I get the chance I'm gonna look at it, but I don't have access to a PC everyday so for the most part its the Crack Berry & the picture is small, plus its easy access where ever I go, just like a Short Skirt & No Panties

Yes I do like the SS Rims, there subtle & when you throw a little color matching on em with the truck I think they're CLEAN! I guess ill just have to look at anything & everything I can to get a good comparison until I actually buy a set of anything....BUT I will tell you that for a good long while that I have been envisioning any kind of project truck it was pictured with SS Rims, but I do understand that LIGHT Aluminum is the way to go when thinking about Performance so we will see.

I know a lot of people probably don't want to listen to me ramble & talk about what I DON'T KNOW, fastnblu you always giving good advice though, appreciate that!

Crack Berry.

I guess I better come to Houston. See what I highlighted.

I'm the same way, I see SSS rims on everything, includind mine. But alas, I still don't have an OEM set of em or any custom aluminums. Not yet!

For the cost, Centerlines are nice, light, don't break the bank, & are made here. Look up pics of Blue Cajun. I love those Cenerlines he had. But they're are a bunch of manfacturers of rims.

We're here to help. I try to at least. I don't know it all, just enuff to be dangerous. I do make mistakes. I learn on here all the time, lot of great people.

Heck ya come on down & bring that Tig Ole Bitty chick in your Avatar, maybe I can sneak a peak at your truck & see if I can learn somethin.

Alright I found BlueCajun5.3's pics, he's got the Centerline Stingray III's. They do look pretty good but I'm more of a 5 star guy. But that 2/4 stance looks to be about what I want. Those look to be 20" wheels & those look about the right size for me to I think.

Isn't satin the more DULL color as apossed to Shiny GLOSS. I think Black Satin would look hella MEAN!

Like Spoolin's Truck after he painted it that Satin color with the stripe

but I don't know if MINE will look good with the gloss paint.
