Question What offset needed for a 9" wide wheel with stock 2wd ride height?

A local is selling a set of 18x9s with a 20mm offset. How would they fit on a stock 2005 extended cab RWD Silverado? I am currently running 275/60R17s on the stock 17x7.5 wheels. I would like to move up to a wider 30.5-31.5" tire. What size should I look at? 285/60R18 seems to be about perfect.
