Default What do u think of my truck?

Hey guys, I was just wonderin some different opinions about my truck. I am a new user to this website but the quality of trucks I have seen on this site is outragous. I was just lookin for a couple of pointers as to what u guys would do. constructive criticism is welcome

This is a good picture of the wheels that I got this week. My got them from my friend for free so Im not complaining.

This shows my backrack pretty good. I had it custom made but I also didnt have these wheels on it then. I was thinkin of sellin it and gettin a soft tonneu cover? Its kinda hard to see in this photo but I made a bowtie that swings on the top of the rack infront of the 3rd tail light. just something different

On the wish list is a chrome grille or paint this grille to body color and also crystal clear corner lens

Yes the truck is a 4wd and Im not real sure of what look Im going for, I was just looking for some input. I dont want to get a low rider look with the 4wd but was lookin for a 'clean look'. I dont want to go crazy with sport mirrors and such but was just wondering what u all would do if u owned the truck.

Well you have the mouldings off so thats a good thing. You will notice every one has their own opinion, but personally from another 4wd er. I dropped mine 2" till hunting season rolls around. I have a billit grille insert, and painted my bumper cover and grille to match the truck. Id paint the rear bumper too, but mines chrome, so I dont think it'd work too well with mine. Personally I dont think the wheels look bad, but I would get rid of the back rack, unless you just have to have it for work or something. Look around, dont get in a hurry (easier said than done I know ) and see what you like. We have a little of everything from all out race trucks, to lifted 4wds and everything in between.

-pick yourself up some 03+ silverado tail lights, probably the best appearance mod you can do.
-Get some a/t or m/t tires for it
- if you want to lose the rack then do it, but I think it looks fine if you need it for work. A soft tonneau would look nice too!
-the wheels look good!
-get a chrome tahoe grill and also get a chrome rear bumper.
- Personally, I would also loose the mudflaps. I bought them for my 99 and man, they helped keep it clean and saved the paint a little, but they also left little rub marks in the paint from where they were. And I thought they looked good at first, but then as I looked at it more and had them on for awhile, I decided they were ugly.

I'm a fan of the color-matched pieces too... Door Handles, Front & Rear Bumpers, Grille, Tailgate Handle... you get the idea. I've put the '05 Taillights on mine already and they do look good.

I agree on the mudflaps. I would lose those along with the rack (sounds like you were already planning on it maybe?). It looks way too tall, and out of place.

I have mixed feelings on the brush guard. I like the wheels. If you're going with a soft bed cover, I recommend truxedo. I think it's the cleanest looking one. No drilling required and it doesn't bow-up where the support bars are.

Have fun and keep posting pics.

Thanks guys for all the replies. I did forget to mention that I may be getting my hands on a chrome bumper soon. I totally forgot about the newer tail lights...I def. agree that they would look better so I gotta keep my eyes open. Maybe this weekend I will take off the rack and take some pics and see what she looks like. I also agree on color matching the front. Thanks again for the ideas! Keep em comin
