That sucks...this is why my truck has been stored winters. 2k sounds a little expensive, but there is alot of work involved in replacing the rockers/cab corners.

This is the 1st year I got away from weekly winter washes. Kept staying cold, then snow, repeat for about 2 1/2 mo. solid. Ya, I did wash, but not as often. Undercarriage wash is a must in the rustbelt. Other day reached about 60*, rained @ nite, then 45* the next day - I washed ea. day. It's drivin me nuts seeing baby dirty.

I hear that. No $$$. I'm part time currently but not in HVAC. Prolly need to get another job myself, or move to FL and go racin w/ Blue Cajun! I've been thinking a lot on this, since I've been invited by relative to stay. He wants me to work w/him. I don't like the heat, they say I'll get used to it.

Move south/west. Don't drive. An 07, already?!? My 04 bumper surface(s) has minor surface rust. I rub it out. I've got several cleaners( Mothers, etc); see what works. I'll be doing this real soon & I'll post which did best. I forgot - got a bunch of different stuff. Bumper backside(frt & rr) just collects snow/salt spray like crazy; looks since it took a foothold on insides. Later, I'm doing bumper cover/roll pan tho.

Wish I could store, esp. since I'd like to keep Hotchkis lookin sweet. Ask around; get more than 1 quote. Find out who does good work in your area. U get what u pay for.

That damage on the rockers would be enough motivation for me to move away from the snow. I love living in the south.

I wish I could NOT drive my truck through the winters you have a lot of self will power! Plus I was thinking seeing my ranger has PLPD on it, if I reck it im out of $$$ on that so why not risk the sierra and maybe a ditch to fix the truck but no that never happens that way!

well I know that saying you get what you pay for thing, Ive already been there so I dont think Ill be pulling that card again...
