rough roads in DFW... I drive with a 4-7 drop almost everyday so dont gimme that hahaha

Goodluck
Yeah I just read that 2inch drop shackles in the rear will really only lower it 1inch to level off the truck so a 2/4 will probly be ideal, thanks for the info.
And I have driven a lowered vehical around DFW for years everyday and couldnt stand it, just not my cup of tea is all.

I did happen to find an HD hood on craigslist.com for 75 bucks which I'll probly go with.

will someone please break out into a song?? Then we could have high school musical 4...

wtf people?

anyways, there is a guy who had a cowl hood, not sure what type, but he cut a square hole in it and inserted plexiglas - in resemblance of a zr1 style hood, it came out clean. Not sure if he is on these forums or not, but check out fast4popper on silveradoss.com but im sure it was a lot of fab work and Im not sure how well it does with engine heat soak, but hit him up, he would know best.

Thats pretty sick looking on a black silvy,Charcold. Very nice.

I think for now I am going to stick with an HD hood and possible after the swap is done and over with along with everything else, I'll find or have the cabage to change out the front to an 03-07 style. To me those look the best with cowl hoods, or I'll possibly just be happy with the HD hood. I did find a picture of a silvy 1500 like mine with it, looks pretty nice like that.

but hey thats cool if your vag is frosty, I didnt pull a 48 hr motor swap in mid january with temps around 40-55* or anything. Thats cool man, good luck with a ricer hood on stock looking truck.

Watch out them hondas will get ya!
If he's serious, this is kinda funny. 40-55 degrees and i'd be wearing shorts to do a motor swap! I rebuilt a motor in a detatched garage years ago in the dead of winter, 0-10 degrees.
