Wow... everyone chill out!

Im not taking any sides here so i will answer the question from post number 1...

99-02 Cowl hood or HD hood IMO
or
03-07 classic front end upgrade either way looks sick...\

idk who told you that 03+ front ends wont fit but they are wrong... its cool though fsc is mostly OBS anyways good guys over there just more conservative and old school or like 14yrs old

anyways.... 03+ front ends work but you need bumper, fenders, hood, core support etc...

Hmm.. didn't know I could use an HD hood. That might actually look pretty good maybe with a nice cowl on it as well. I'de love to change the front to an 03-07 style maybe with an ss bumper or somthing but I'm pretty strapped at the moment and have'nt gotten everything I need for my swap yet Been kind of lazy lately lol. Thanks for the great info though. Much appreciated

i would definetly agree with the hd hood on the 2000 body style, but for th 03 style the gm goodmark cowl hood looks purdy sweet. definetly on my xmas list. but if u dont have a drop or wheels yet i would postpone doin a hood for a while.

x2,,, i kind of agree,

but by the way, like mentioned a goodmark or reflexion is the only way to go aftermarket, unless you do a HD hood, i have an HD hood on mine and it looks good... by the way welcome to the site...

Right, What I am doing is gathering all parts that I want and will spend a good week or two in march ( When I take my vacation time ) and install everything. Wheels I'm strapped for cash at the moment so I'm moving on to the hood since it's a little cheaper specialy for an HD hood. As for a drop It wont be much two in the back one in front. I like the agressive low drops but its not for me. Rough roads here in DFW texas. but DEF don't want alot of the fenderwell showing. When it comes to rims and tires I get really picky as I am sure everyone does it takes me forever to make up my mind.
Never seen the gm goodmark cowl hood so I'll have to google it. I'll get some scetches drawn up over work tomorrow and post them.

ap2002 : Thanks alot, so far I'm learning tons of info as this is my first chevy ever out of 12 cars lol.

How's that nv3500 holding up against the 6.0? I whent out and bought
a nv4500 to back my lq9 up with thinking the nv3500 would bomb after a while. I do understand you can't put alot of stress on it but can cruise with it On a 6.0 I'de be to tempted to mash the gas and watch the tranny orbit the earth. Oh and I know its in the wrong spot but since there's a couple of 6.0l people on this threat. Ideas on a good street cam for a lq9? Im affraid thats where my knowledge runs short for chevys.

Lol if you do a drop at least do a 2-4. If you do end up only going 2 in the back dont touch the front. Even with the 2in shackles it still sits just slighty higher in the back.

rough roads in DFW... I drive with a 4-7 drop almost everyday so dont gimme that hahaha

Goodluck
