Just an FYI, to help those that were thinkin about this:

I called US Speedo on Wed 16 FEB 05, and They NO LONGER OFFER the do it yourself Kit for 99-2001 Chev/GMC Truck clusters.

The reason being, is that your cluster STILL must be programmed to activate the IC, and circuitry on many clusters, in order for it to work.

They will Install the Guage for you, and program for $120-150.
AND, if you want to upgrade at the same time to a 120MPH speedo, they indicated that's an additional $30.

At this time, I decided to wait for this "Goodie".
Id rather spend the $150, on a low temp stat, and throttle body spacer to gain some mileage and performance.
