Uh oh. Listen Jules, IDK how that midnight auto's gonna pan out, but while siktruk is sittin in the slammer, just get the hood now & be done w/. it. No worrying bout matchin paint or none of that ****. It's done & u can move onto another phase.
More important esp. if you're goin w/. a complicated paint scheme. If not, do hood later like u want, since it won't be a problem to match pansy pink.

Hmmmm, sound advice but I wanna see how this midnight auto scheme is gonna work out!! It's time for the PT.net badboys to cook themselves up another way to get into trouble.

I find it terribly ironic he is about to drop at least 30K+ on a motor build, but wont shell out the money for a $300 hood...

Motor is not gonna cost even half of that.
We have a side bet going on the cost of it but it's not gonna be $30K, not even close.

OK, I'll give u that. Shame on Dave then. $300 is a drop in bucket then. It's kinda like buyin a Benz for $50-70k, or a Porsche & not spending $300 on floormats.

You can kindof see what I'm talking about in this picture

Can you go into this process a little more? I really am liking the look of that without the cap extending up to fill the void.

Also, spoolin, where did you find a HD grill for $60?

This is as clear as I can make it in paint. The bottom of the grille hits the stock bumper if you do not cut and bend it down and out of the way.

The black is the bumper, obviously, and the red is where the grille would come down.

Great! Thanks for the quick reply! I thought that is what you were talking about but got a little confused with the bending down part. If possible, I would love to see a close up pic of how that turned out where the cut was made.
