ok here is the problem i have a 99 chey stepside with 90k on it. i want to do some preformance stuff to it but i am afraid to spend a lot of money on a turbo if it is just going to mess up. so here is the prob. get a new one or stick with the old one. i have joined the air force and will have money to spend. i am looking at choo choo customs truck (http://www.choochoocustoms.com/) or a regency truck (http://www.regencysvm.com/index.html) or just to build a 4.8 liter 5 speed from chevy or gmc. so what would you do i have a friend that would sell me her regency. they are bad trucks. any info will help
thanks

I'd say keep the 99 and do a 6.0 liter and 4L80E swap. You can do anything you want to the 99 and still save money. If you're just wanting a new truck w/ a warranty, then get one. Out of the 2 custom trucks you asked about, I'd say go w/ the Regency truck. The Choo-choo customs looks great but, the Regency looks better and has a lot more performance mods.

Neither. Build yours... Unless you want the payment of a new truck. The RST has wheels and stickers, neato. That Choo-Choo-Cachoo at least has something to give it more POWER. "Headers and a simulated camshaft aka 1.85 rockers. The RST has nothing!!!!!! If I was gonna drop that amount of cash..... And thats a big IF. I would go for the Choo truck.

Keep your truck and mod it. If you're gonna be an AB or A1C when you come in, you won't be able to afford a truck payment, mods, and all the money you'll spend partying. If you have a family (Wife/Kid) sell them now cause you can't afford them either. Don't get mad, I've been where you are. 12 years in the AF and I was rolling quarters for gas money when I lived in the dorms.
