Default Transmission reliability/ strength

I have essentially a bone-stock RCSB 01 Silverado (with a Flowmaster, big deal).

I don't plan on any engine mods ... the truck is a daily driver and I already have a race car.

I can't seem to keep my foot out of it tho. This truck is just so much fun.

I have never owned a car with an automatic before ... I love to punch it at about 30mph and blow the tires off for a few feet.

The truck has the optional towing pacakage with the auxiliary tranny cooler from GM.

Am I shortening the life of my tranny? BTW - I always leave it in drive.

FWIW - the truck has 76k on it.

You might be shortening the life somewhat but nothing major, since its unmodded i wouldn't worry about it
