I just recently picked up a Canon EOS 50d and went to PCB, FL for Spring Break. While I was down there I saw some pretty interesting things, mostly in pairs
and also thought i'd take some pictures of the truck down by the beachfront.

My all-time favorite picture that i've taken of my truck

And i just thought i'd share this one...

while the d90 has great features and has a movie mode and access to nikon's wonderful selection of glass, i chose the canon because it has more features and a better image sensor and image processor.

the d60 is a great start, but you're limited on your lens selection, because you can't handle the bigger, faster lenses available to you. the d80, d90, 40d, 50d, and similar cameras are full frame, so they can focus bigger lenses. As far as us amateur photographers are concerned, that is a moot point, since some of those lenses are gonna cost more than your camera
. for the sunset pictures i used a 72mm circular polarizer and a UV filter. if you'll send me your email address i can send you some originals.

Is your lens filter 72mm or did you use a stepup? I just bought Hoya DigiPro CPL and UV filters, 52mm is what my lenses take...damn this hobby is more expensive than the truck. I don't think I will want to go to a full-frame sensor camera, it's not like I want to turn pro

if you're mostly taking pictures of the truck and family, then that's probably all you need. my lens is actually 72mm. the kit lens that came with my camera is a beast. the kit lens that comes with the 40d/50d is 28-135mm. you might wanna check out nikon's 55-200mm telephoto. Nikon's pn is 2166.
