Do those things work good for say if you wanted to take the chrome side molding off?

I think it would. Used goo gone and rags to get the adhesive off under mine. It took forever and got alot of blisters. If I had known about the 3m wheel I would definitely have used one.

as far as the moldings... get a tough string of some sort and try and work your way through it separating it from the truck.

Use a rubber wheel to spin all the goo off, its the only way I would ever do it

Yep, dental floss and a hair dryer is what I used on them. As far as the wheel, I got it at o'reilly. It was $40 there but I saw it online for 25 if u wanted to order it.
