It has a handle on each side in the back that latches under the top bed rail. If you have a plastic slide in liner, you'll have to cut slots into it. It works really well and is adjustable. You do have to lower the tailgate to do it tho, so a tailgate handle flip kit would be a pain in the ***. Its' easy to put on and take off the cover too. My trouble that I had with mine were totally my fault, and they new it and still took care of me.
