I just talked to cognito, I think that is the one I will get, sounds like it's much better quality.

I'll do their 12" lift and 38's

They're from Clovis which is where I'm from. I've heard many stories about them including sabatoge and insurance fraud. I personally have not and would not buy anything from them.

im 99.9% sure hes talking about whiplash, cognito is a very reputable company, if you want some more input go over to pavementsucks.com and ask a guy named Yukontim about the kit.

Whiplash makes very poor quality equipment. They have had money problems and lawsuits.

I would look into one from either www.cognitomotorsports.com

or http://fullthrottlesuspension.com/

they both make very good quality lifts and are much better than the whiplash lift

I went through the same thought process of which lift to go with and I would never lift my truck with anything other than a Whiplash kit. I have had no problems with my kit at all, and they hooked me up with a smokin deal. I live in Clovis TOO and I will tell you that this is the smallest big town I know, if you dont wipe your *** correctly the whole town gets word of it. Rumors are only rumors and every time I go their shop they are super busy, but yet make time to help me out with anything I need. I looked into Cognito and they only offer 1 kit for 2 different vehicles. Easy to be reputable when you only have sold 17 kits since you have been in buisness. I think I have seen maybe 1 here in town. There are about 50 Whiplash trucks. Point is, do your own research, call the companies directly and dont listen to people who have no idea what they are talking about.

Yeah because nobody on this site knows what they are talking about. Go look at a Cognito Lift and then go look at whiplash, the crappy welds and crappy gauge metals on the whiplash would be enough for me to stay away, obviously you have never seen a cognito in person and actually compared it to the whiplash.

The cognito lift is a very beefy and sturdy lift. If you think that the company has only sold 17 kits and is still in business, then you are the one that doesnt know what he is talking about.

If your truck only gets driven on and off the trailer, whiplash is fine, if not, go for something with a little more quality

From my experience the whiplash lifts are nothing but junk. All they would have to do is make the metal thicker and make their welds better. On one 2000 Ford supercrew he actually broke the mount where the front differential sits which in turn caused the smaller side of the front diff to break. I actually have a 12" full throttle kit on my tahoe which is built very stout. I have also heard good things about the cognito kits.
Just my 2 cents.
