Default Is there such a thing as a 4" drop shackle ???

I'm tring to avoid using a hanger/shackle kit because there are NO kits that work 100% with my truck.....the front hangers are different on the 2500LD's....the 1500 and 3500 hangers won't work, I'm also (possibly) trying to avoid a spring swap (towing capacity reasons).....so does anyone make a 4" drop shackle or will a shackle off of a another brand of truck work (I'm thinking Dodge here....they seem to have REALLY LONG drop shackles)

Never heard of one really. That would be a long *** shackle if they did! Probably have to cut your bed to make it work too!

hey yelo, are you not eventually going 3-link now?
do our leaf packs sit on top of the axles or under? If on top you could always keep your existing leaf pack and do an axle flip kit.
That might actually be to low though.......not sure.
Also, true ladder bars will really detract from your trucks ability to cut those corners fast......forgive me if this is common knowledge to you........

the leafs sit on top. a djm flip kit will give you a 6" rear drop and you'll have to notch the frame. and with the 1500/3500 HD...the flip kit gives you 8" of drop.

i've never seen a 4" shackle, but you have you considered 2" drop leafs with 2" shackles? you'll maintain a good portion of your hauling ability and get your stance.
