Default Tailgate cap

If I put on a normal GMC tailgate cap will it show the screw holes through it? Like leave bumps? I have the chevy 04 one that has the flat area on the top.

yes it will. You'll have to grind down the tops of the retaining nuts a little to fit it.

i didnt know there was tape behind them too. Im not really worried about the shadow because if it actually was there, most of it will be covered back up.
