My silverstars lasted 8months. I picked up a set of "toucan" bulbs that one of our a/m suppliers has and I would say they are better than the silverstars. My dad ordered silverstars for his C5 and Sylvania told him they would only last 8-12 months at the most. I figure hell if the company making them says they won't last long whats the point in offering them.

I looked at some of the Eurolite bulbs at my dads shop for the hell of it. I didnt see any 880's but I did see 881's. The stock bulbs are like 28 watts right? The 881 lights I saw are 32. Is that enough of an increase over stock to fry the housings?

Fine.... Hell with it all. Im gonna get some Hella FF75 fogs and replace the piles of crap GM calls fog lamps. Then I can use some Silverstar H7's...

The stock GM fogs are useless. They are only there for looks, not function. If you look at any other true fog light, they use the H3 or H1 bulb. I don't know of any car that uses the 880 bulb. It's a piece of crap

my PIAA fogs have the H3 bulbs. they are better than my high beams. i get flashed alot so i aimed them down further.
