Default Surface Rust

So I noticed a little surface rust developing on my 99 silverado. It's on the driver's side, towards the rear of the extended cab, where the panel curves under the truck. How much do you think it would cost to have a body shop take care of this before it turns to rot?

shouldn't be more than a couple hundred, depending on the extent of the rust. i'd suggest taking care of it ASAFP.

On the rocker panel? If it's a bunch of little bubbles, it's probably coming out from the inside. Pretty common for trucks in the NE. Take it to a reputable body shop, but don't be surprised if some metal replacement is recommeded to get all of the rust out. Speaking from experience, do it right or it will come back 2X worse.

I had a 99 with same problem. Seen TONS of 99's with the same issues. Like was said get it fixed asap before it get really bad. Mine also was rusting over the rear wheels.
