I just wouldnt feel safe with a soft cover. My bow alone was almost 1900 not to mention all my other hunting stuff or anything else I may throw under there. With a hinged setup at the front I wouldnt be able to access my tool box unless it was a soft cover. I have to have a very particular type for it to work on my truck, guess thats why its been such a PITA to find one.

No my bow case is about 2 foot wide so it wont quite fit in the tool box
I called a local dealer here in Austin about the foldacover so Im going to go take measurements and hopefully it will work but it doesnt sound like it is. I really wish I didnt need my toolbox but I use the stuff I carry around in it all the time.

GM makes a locking hard one. GM number 19155535. It's not cheap, but it is of good quality. Here's a small pic of one for a long box....

And here's a short description....This rust- and corrosion-proof yet lightweight tonneau cover will stand up to rugged use while sheltering your load. You can fold it back to grab your tools, sporting equipment or backpack from the bed. It can be locked for added security.

no website showing how it works, but it's a 3 or 4 panel design that locks at the front and at the rear of the box. It's hinged at each seam and folds up from the front or rear, depending on the need. Im not sure on the latches or mounting. I work with a guy that has one on his '05 longbox sierra, and I can get some pics if you want.

Yeah that would be awesome. At each hinge point see how far the part that mounts to the bed sticks out. Im mainly looking to see if the front two sections can fold towards the tailgate and make sure there isn't any mounting hardware that sticks out into the bed that would interfere with opening the tool box. See the third picture I posted and you will see what im talking about as far as anything sticking out since I only hve about a inch of clearance. Does the long bed have more panels or bigger panels? I mainly need pictures of the mounting hardware and how it folds up. It will also need to be able to fold all the way up the cab with just one panel seated on the bedrail so I don't have to take it off when I pull fifth wheel or gooseneck. I would also like to hear your comments on the fit and finish, thanks for the help. Ill be watching this thread all day for pics
