wax is to protect,a polish is a very very fine abrasive(or sometimes a chemical) that removes a tiny layer of clearcoat to remove scratches and swirls etc

diehardchevy post pics if you can.....

Well if its some stuborn web. Then you should be able to get rid of it with some polish. Like said. I've never used the high tech polish (i am sure it works great) but 3M makes this three stage system to get out defects in the paint. Usually its used to get out fish eyes and some orange peel after painting. Its called rubbing compound(its says Rubbing Compound in the front). You have to use a buffer for it to work (high speed). It will leave swirl marks after you apply it. But then you just hit it again with some polish that gets rid of swirl marks. 3M specifically makes a polish for dark vehicles like yours. That should work. You should be able to get this at a local auto paint shop. They dont sell it at the local auto part stores.

Mequires also sells stuff like this. If you look at the front of their bottles on some of them there are numbers. You would probley want to use Meguires #1 which is a medium cut cleaner. And then polish it with something like a #5 which is a glaze. Here is link to the professional cleaners and waxes. Click on professional Auto care. Hope that helps. I know the feeling my truck is FREAKIN black.
