Default stepside plastic bedcaps

I was thinking about taking off the stock plastic bedcaps.
I see there is one snap in closest to the stake hole by the backwindow on both sides and most likely the infamous 3M tape. You guys think it would look like **** if I took them off?

Yes it would look very bad! They are covering up where the plastic bedsides meet the metal bed. It is not a pretty sight. I took them when I brushed on my POS Herculiner. If you want to take a look just remove the snaps by the tailgate and the rest just pull up really hard to disengage the clips. Or you could crawl up under the truck and reach up to squeeze and release them.
