Well I remember reading it somewhere; I may be wrong. Also, you have to take in account that the fleetside is all metal where the sportside has the plastic sides.

I'll have to say fleetside.

If you want caddy light you can put them on a stepside just takes some work

Step side is made of a dent resistant urethane kinda like a Saturn. Thats why we cant really do body mods to the step side. Step side is about an $800.oo option. Also a step side is 100lbs lighter; as per GM litterateur

I know the sportside beds are made of Polyurathane ABS plastic... Just like the Street Scene rollpan.

i want to trade my fleetside bed for a stepside bed that still has a stock bumper with it. mine has a welded in rollpan and a shaved tailgate and stake pocket holes.
