Yea the candy isn't really illegal because you are basically keeping the same color of the tailight. Im guessing you just took the amber colored blinker and candied over it with the rest of the lights. When I mean color change, I mean something like going with completly clear tails or a green or purple colored headlight ( ). Candied tails are a +1 IMO if you want to do something besides the smoked look.

When the tail lights are smoked can they be seen during the day. I'm more worried about getting rear ended then the cops.
