Default Silverado SS rear bumper...

Would the rear bumper off of a Silverado SS bolt up directly to my truck? I like the look of the painted bumper and don't want to get a roll pan.

thanks in advance

It will bolt up, but will look a little strange because you do not have the cladding on the side of your truck. The bumper "molds" into the side cladding.

You might want to look into a bumper cover that is available through different aftermarket sources.

Ok thanks, Appreciate the reply. I mainly just want to keep the bumper for functionality etc etc. and thought the SS bumper would be a fairly cheap way of having a red one. I'll look into the painted covers though

How about media blasting your chrome and get it painted. That's what I did to mine.

Yes, it's true. Same as the Denali and Escalade bumpers...just plastic covers.

I found a cover on ebay, but was thinking of having mine blasted then painting it. I have a big dent in it anyway, so I figured when I bang the dent out its probably gona mess up the chrome so I can tell the wife its cheaper to get it painted than get a new one.

LOL good idea white1, I think I'd rather just paint mine too. The only one i found on ebay was the Xenon one and personally I'm not all that fond of it.
