thanks 1slow, yeah i have a 04 silverado bumper from my burnt truck. i could probably even ge the brackets from it too. does the ss have any different mounts from the normal silverado bumper? the hood was toast so i can't use it and the fender were probably warped too. but the bumper and bracket are alot thicker metal and should be fine. just sand them and hit them some por15 so prevent rust and put the por15 top coat on that and it should be good for a long time.

the plastic needs to be on that bumper for the cover to mount...

Remember, the SS bumper is intended to match up w/ the ss body moldings. If you arent going to try to make them work on the tahoe, you should try the stylin concepts one. It's skinnier and will fit right on a truck w/o the ss moldings.

The SS has wide body molding all the way aroundor some call it rocker panel molding it goes half way up the door.
