Default Silverado duraflex ZL1 hood

So I bought this new duraflex hood. I and wondering a few things. The heat extracted ports are fully closed in. Would I be OK to cut out those bits and have the hood still be as strong?

You can cut the heat ports out, just be careful and make it look good. As far as getting weak, you wont notice anything different.

What year truck is it for? Haven't seen that style yet! Would look pretty sick to use!!
