Default School me on this...

My wheels and tires are 20 x 9.5 inch wheels 265/50/20-

The wheels I may be getting this weekend with tires are Silverado SS chrome replicas with 20 X 8.5 w/ 275/55/20's

Difference is...width of the footprint, and sidewall size correct? How will this affect my ride if any? My wheels are flush with the fenders now...will they be inside more or not?

The 275 55's are roughly 31.91 tall and 10.83 wide at the sidewall.
The 265 50's are 30.43 tall and 10.43 wide at the sidewall. To be honest I wouldn't worry about it, the difference will not be noticable.

I doubt that your ride quality will change very much but, unless you can reset tire size in the PCM, the 1.5" height difference is going to mess with your speedo and odometer.

I don't think you'll feel a difference in ride quality. If anything, the ride will be better because the sidewall is greater. The offset and backspacing of the SS wheels will determine whether or not they will be flush with your fenders. Just look at a picture of a Silverado SS.....that will show you how flush they are. I think your biggest concern with your new tire/wheel combo is the height of the 275/55-20 tires. Like Mangles03gmc said, these tires are approx. 31.9" tall. You may have rubbing issues in the front because your truck is lowered 1" from the factory if I remember correctly. You *should* be OK though. Good choice of wheels BTW...can't go wrong with a set of SS's.

That dont look like a ***/55/** side wall...? Or is it? My tires are 275/60/16 And i know the side wall on mine are taller but that looks like too big of a diff.

ive gotten 295/40/20 toyp proxies on my black rts wheels and i like the stance they give..prettty wide footprint and ride pretty damn good...not too big of a profile and not to small
