Well I had the spare tire out because of a previous thing so I didn't put it back in and when I got under there I said "Screw it, I'm going to get a hidden hitch eventually anyways" so I just took out the whole spare tire assembly, but if you lower the spare tire you can put the rollpan on with the assembly still intact and then raise the spare back up.

imo i wouldnt do that, ive seen that done before and the glass cracks very easily, i know a bodyman who did one and saw the truck about a half year later and he said he had to take it off bc it was cracking so bad. he said he thought it was from the wind pushing on the sides of the bed and the glass not being strong enough

Looks really good, I bought one for my 01 SBY Stepside, never got around to installing it before I traded the truck.

I still have the fiberglass pan sitting in my shed, that thing is sturdy. I don't see how wind could make it flex and crack the paint, it's a very rigid piece.

sorry you misunderstood what i was saying... he said he was going to get his shaved in, like when they weld the steel rollpans and shave em, i think he was takling about shaving a fiberglass in and filling in the gaps with glass, correct?
