The more trucks I see with roll pans the more i want one. I have one question, who makes that roll pan that has a hidden trailor hitch behind the tag? Sometimes I tow (nothing too serious) and need a roll pan that can incorporate a towing package.

Oh yeah just thought I would tell you.....my truck is going in the shop tomorrow to fix the front where I got in a wreck and while it is in there I am going to have the "chrome" part of the grill painted to match the truck, like the SS. He said he could do it, so we will see how it turns out.

Did you have that painted or do it yourself. I am really interested in it. Also, how is it holding up?

I've been thinking of a rollpan myself, I'm still not sure with a lifted truck and all. I think you should get one, they look sick! I think the ones with the exhaust pipe coming out of it looks sweet!

BTW: I don't know whose truck this is.....

BTW, I think that rollpans are the way to go if you dont mind 10x as much damage from a fenderbender. Its a bit of a gamble, but I think it looks nicer.
I think it was around $150 for the rollpan and mirrors at the same time, and the shop buffed out some scratches on my truck for free - I think because they had to repaint the roll pan - the first time it had bumps and stuff all over it, but overall they did a good job.

One good thing about the urethane is that if someone just bumps me right on the pan, it won't dent like steel - plus I think the roll pan weighed like 8 or 10 lbs - serious weight reduction over stock (bad for traction tho )

How much weight do you think it saved?

I know it saves a good amount of weight. Ive got a Z71 bumper that I was going to have paint matched, but went with the rollpan instead. Id say honestly about 45lbs difference.

Ive heard that the frame needs to be cut on the NBS SUVs to do the rollpan This is sounding expensive, especially since the dealership is charging me $115 just to paint the thing. Well, maybe that is reasonable.
They'll probably slap my head on the install if they have to cut the frame though.
