Default roll pan help on stepside

i'm trying to install a sir mikes roll pan on a 99 NBS silverado stepside. problem i'm having is it seems to stick out about 1/4 too far and dosnt line up with the sides of the bed. i dont have an install instructions. is there anything important i need to know about installing this.. i thought these were simple bolt on roll pans.

One reason I didn't go with sir mikes rollpan is because I have heard they have had some fitting issues, not very often, but sometimes. I also didn't like the gaps and stuff, so I just went with a street scene.

Check sir mikes site, the rollpan should have came would some instructions, although brief can help. If I were you I would check the site.

take it to a shop for test fit, prep and paint. its metal, so its workable. the guys at a reputable shop will make it perfect.

I didn't have any fitment problems, but I'm sure every pan is different. Don't know how to tell you to fix it, but install is easy. After the bumper and brackets are removed, you line it up and put the screws through the top of the roll pan into the back of the bed. After that, you use the small brackets to attach the pan to the bottom of the bedsides. Like said above though, take it to a shop and they should be able to get it to fit just right.

well i got the roll pan used from a member here for a real good price. it was already painted and everything. thats why i have no brakets or instructions. i got it on. it dosnt fit 100% but i'd say maybe 90% the only spot that dosnt fit flush is the very top of the pan. i ended up stealing brackets off my 68 camaros front spoiler to hold the pan back to the frame. they actually worked really well. the pan is very solid. i bolted the sides of the bed on with one bolt on each side to the pan. my only worry is the bed sides splitting. but like i said the brakets from the camaro are holding it pretty securly. i'll post pics in a few days. its going to start raining and wont stop til wednesday.
