Default Replace/repair rocker panel

Has anyone done this?
THis spring I may take the rocker panel off a wrecked truck I have and put it on another truck with bad panels. I was wondering how difficult this would be.

Should be able to just cut out the old one and spot weld in the replacement, then grind down the welds and paint it right?

i need to replace the passenger side rocket on my truck, every shop i take it to just wants to repair it but i dont like bondo....

Yea. Since i have another cab out here I figure just cut and weld. sand and paint.

yea. both trucks are ecsb and the truck that isn't rolled has bad rust on both sides on the rockers. so i'll be needing both sides. Sorry.

That's the only rust on the truck too. I'll get pics tomorrow of what I need to do since I'll hopefully be swapping the rearends.
