dont use fishing line like alot of people do. Fishing line will scratch the paint underneath if u go up and down with it. Heat gun and some force and they will come right off. The hard part is removing all the left over tape and residue underneath. Get all of it warm and roll it with your thumb. Takes a lot of time and effort, but its certainly the safest way to do it.

x2...I used fishing line on one side and it put some small scratches in the clear coat. I just pulled on the other side and they came right off.

It's really not the fishing line's fault, it's all the fine particles of dirt and dust at the edges of the trim peices being dragged along by the fishing line.

I just heated my badging and molding up with the sun first then a heat gun and carefully and pulled them off, used my fingernails to roll off all the adhesive boogers after washing off and remaning dust and debris as soon as I got the badging off.
Be care full and you will have minimal scratching that will buff out easily.

I removed mine on a sunny summer day after they were baking in the sun for a little while. Used the fishing line on some, and just pulled others right off. I didn't get any scratches, but I tried hard to keep the fishing line closer to the moulding than the truck. There was alot of glue left over though...3M advesive remover took care of that

cool cool. i took every single thing possible off the trans am with just my hands (my fingers hurt for about 2 days lol but it worked), then i rolled off the goo, used bug and tar remover with a microfiber, then a good cleaning and wax, and you cant tell they were there. i just wanted to make sure they werent like on my mustang with a hole in the panel helping hold them in place (stupid design when they stay perfectly fine with that 3m style tape on em). anyway thanks for the help guys!!

If the adhesive is giving you ****, go to an autobody supply store and ask for a "rubber eraser". It's a 1/2" thick, 4" round disk with a threaded rod in the center to fit into a drill chuck. It "erases" the glue off your truck without hurting the paint. It's really good if you're peeling the badges before doing bodywork, cause you're not introducing any fisheye-causing silicones into the equation with sprays.
