im sure you could purchase some LED's bright white and wire them to the truck connector, might have to drill small hole in pan.

Im running without lights on my plate and havent had any probs with cops, I figure if they are driving behind me at night there headlights will light up my plate so unless they decide to turn off their headlights to make sure i have a tag light they shouldnt be able to tell.

Some people use the plate frames that have lights built into them. I think stylin carries them.

I've been pulled over for no license plate lights. I was on my way to Mexico and the cop real close to the border said that when cars got stolen and were headed out of the country that they would often unplug the lights. He was radaring people on the side of the road though, couldn't see my plate when I drove by.
