Default PUT A 3in LIFT on the truck

I put a 3in body lift on my truck..
I was wondering what is the biggest tire I could put on my stock wheels .. will a 305/70 work? without rubbing and cranking on the torsion bars?

thankS

P.S. its on a 2002 silverado 4x4

With a 3inch lift the 305/70's would most likely fit but you shouldn't mount the on your stock wheels because they are to narrow, if you did it would probaly run the centers bald in no time. I would stay with a 285/75R16.

I'd have to agree. It's nice to add another lifted 2002 Silverado onto the board. When you can post some pictures so I can see that truck!

If you keep your air pressures in check, you can run a 305/70 on your stock wheels. You just have to adjust them so they wear evenly. I agree, lets see some pics.

Pics Please!!!! Is this a body or suspension lift? I've considered both for mine. Unsure of the suspension lift due to performance/handling issues, even though I'm not really into road racing, just trying to beat the other guy to the next light. Plus, the smallest suspension lift I know of is 4". I've looked into body lifts, but with my engine mods, mainly the intake, I'm not sure if it's compatible. Guess I should get off the net and stop into one of the many shops around here that does lifts and find out for sure.
BTW, I'm running 305/70's on 16" American Racing rims ATM with only minor rubbing. I think the dremmel will take care of that.

I had a '02 Z71 with a 3" body lift running 33" tires
(not sure what the width & height specs are p???/??/16)
had 10" or 11" wide rims and they rubbed a lil of the bottom fog light piece, so some trimming of the edges was required.
