I wouldn't worry about covering anything up, but try not to hit any of the electronics directly. I have done this many times. Don't have the PR turned up all the way, use a soap of some sort to help get dirt, grease off..

lol i keep hearin that about simple green...gonna have to go pick some up...i finished the pressure washing now i gotta go blow it off with the air hose...takes a god damn hour to do half the motor
but whatever it's worth it...i'll get ya'll some pics when i'm done...she looks pretty
