Its pretty significant. And note, there never was an 8 lug 10b rear built.
Yeah, the TBSS got the same rear end... definitely overkill behind a 4l65e.

Ummmmmm

No it didnt.

Trailblazers didnt get the E locker, they are 6 lug and dont have a 68.5" WMS, and have standard GMT360 brakes in the rear.

They have a 9.5 SF AAM axle with 4.10, but they do not have the H2 rear end. Dont be spewing wrong info that ppl are gonna find in a search.

The Trailblazer axle is also disputed as to whether its a bolt in mod for the 5 link SUVs.

pissy aren't you?

To me, brakes, # of studs, width, etc are details, peripherals if you will, that are are hung on the Gm 14 bolt axle. The 10 bolt came in countless vehicles & in different configurations, but they're still a 10 bolt. Will the 10 bolt from a truck fit under a car & vice versa? Yeah, but is it worth the effort to cut all the **** off of one & put on another? No, it's easier to source one from the same vehicle that you're looking to put it in.

The trailblazer still runs upper & lower trailing arms on bags or springs with a panhard bar. It's a different width & according to you different brakes, bolt pattern, etc.

Identical? No. It's still a 14 bolt.

So which is it?

I am not sure how ~8.5" of width difference counts as a peripheral either, but hey, you do you. The fact they have different part numbers in the GM catalog and configurations is all the justification I need to say they arent the same axle. Same chunk, yes. Same axle, no.
