YEs that will help. If it is a full billet wheel, shouldn't be a prob, but cast wheel, you will polish your ballz off, for a pretty good shine that won't last..

That's a very reasonable price for quality work. Good luck!

Sounds kind of shady to me.. polish doesnt go on in coats. you either have a chemical polish or abrasive polish. the chemical polish is going to remove contaminents in the metal chemically and the abrasive will wear the finish down smooth by friction. either way, it doesnt layer up in "coats" so he might be pulling your leg on that. Now, he may be talking about protection as in sealant, wax, etc. when he says "coats", but even with that, you cant clear on top of a protectant. it won't adhere. you might want to look into some of his work before going with him.

^ Very good points and well said, although I'd assumed it was just a matter of semantics. Just the word, "polish," is so often misstated and lost in translation that "coats" is the lowest common denominator. Nonetheless - definitely worth asking about the process....good call.

Seems like a deal to me... that's alot of work to get stock, painted, cast aluminum wheels to shine. 3 coats of polish makes no sense though. There is alot of sanding involved. I did it with a GTP I had way back when.

My guess is the wheels will be media blasted - there really shouldn't be any sanding necessary.
