Correct. the truck will squat a little on the initial hit, then the caltracs will plant the tires downward.

mine never squats with the bars...my truck launches better with them pretty tight though.

in your case Stew then yeah it doesn't squat with them tight. i don't preload mine so i do get a little flex.

funny how both trucks act so different. if i just touched the bars i would spin a 1.80. cranking the dog snot sent me to 1.67 on the same day. i was still spinning though.

I also have cal trac bars and the truck doesnt squat either, pretty fckin stout actually. Puts it to the ground and my tires dont like it and let loose all the time. Mybe to tight from what im reading, even the right end height changes when i adjust my bars. I love them but i think they to be tuned or adjusted again for lack of a better term.

Dezert 1500, is that just strictly a flip in the back or is it more? looks to be lower in the rear than just a 6" flip??

yeah i was just about to ask does anyone have any settin around 8" or more in the rear. Mine is at 6" via flip kit right now but i plan on adding shackles as well.
